Immune & Anti-Inflammatory

Lactoferrin

milk-derived iron-binding glycoprotein
food-gradepopularoral capsule

What it is

Lactoferrin is a multifunctional iron-binding glycoprotein found naturally in colostrum, milk, tears, saliva, and other secretions. Has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and immune-modulating effects. Available as an oral supplement (food-grade, GRAS designation by FDA).

How it works

Several mechanisms: (1) sequesters iron from pathogens, starving them of an essential nutrient; (2) directly binds and disrupts microbial membranes; (3) modulates immune cell activity; (4) supports gut barrier function and microbiome.
